Egmond aan Zee has a beautiful sandy beach with a nice boulevard. The village is situated in the middle of a fantastic dune reserve, in which you can make lovely walking- and bike-tours. 

The nice shopping street and terraces will make your stay even more pleasant and the shops are open 7 days a week.

The North Sea coast around Egmond offers you a lot of variation and from Egmond aan Zee you can make many nice trips, for example to Alkmaar, a great shopping town and famous because of the cheese market or to the historical towns Schagen, Hoorn, Enkhuizen and Medemblik and the Schermer with his beautiful museum mills.
Furthermore, the cultural cities Haarlem and Amsterdam can be reached by train very well.
